Amritsar is a city deeply rooted in spirituality where you can experience a sense of peace and calm. Whether you are looking for a temple or a gurudwara, a historic monument or a place to just hang out and have fun, Amritsar has much to offer you.

Dera Baba Jaimal Singhji, located in Amritsar, Punjab, is a place of profound spiritual significance where you can enjoy a tranquil time. The centre is dedicated to the teachings of Sant Mat, a spiritual path that emphasises meditation, ethical living, and devotion to the inner self. It is a must for those of you seeking spiritual solace and inner peace.

About Dera Baba Jaimal Singhji Amritsar

The centre was established in 1891 by Baba Jaimal Singhji, who was succeeded by a series of spiritual masters known as the Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB). Today, the centre is headed by the current RSSB master, Gurinder Singh Dhillon, who continues to carry on the teachings of Sant Mat and guide seekers on their spiritual journey.

#Trivia: Sant Mat teaches that by connecting with our inner consciousness, we can experience a deeper sense of peace and fulfilment and ultimately realise our true potential as human beings.

The Dera is situated on the banks of the Beas River, surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful gardens. The entire campus covers an area of over 2,500 acres and is home to several meditation halls, residential quarters, a hospital, and a dairy farm.

At Dera Baba Jaimal Singhji, visitors can participate in group meditation sessions, attend spiritual talks and workshops, and learn about the teachings of Sant Mat. The centre also offers accommodations for those who wish to stay overnight.

It is known for its beautiful architecture, with intricate carvings, ornate domes, and stained glass windows adorning the main meditation hall and other buildings on the grounds. The gardens and grounds are also meticulously maintained and offer you a peaceful and serene setting.

The Dera is known for its dairy farm, one of the largest in the region. The farm is home to hundreds of cows and buffaloes, and visitors can watch the cows being milked and even sample some of the fresh dairy products!

Do take time out and enjoy the Langar served at the Dera. It showcases the ‘Seva Bhav’ of the devotees and volunteers, who welcome everyone with love and warmth everytime. They proudly wear the symbol of humanity and commitment on their shoulder, strengthening the belief of the Sant Mat.
